Day 1 of The Florida Inspector Challenge, CVE Troopers from across the state began the week by expanding their knowledge on CMV's., and participating in the Hazmat Olympics. Thank you Maxco Dumpsters for your time and instruction.
This week FHP CVE partnered with St. Johns County SO, by providing CMV enforcement training to their deputies and then conducting a combined detail with CVE Jax and SJSO deputies on I95.
Tpr. Nelms and Tpr. Hunter conducted a safety outreach at Teracon, Winter Park. Discussing, CDL's, Load securement, distracted driving, human trafficking, and a roadside inspection demonstration.
CVE Miami-Tpr. Llabre & Tpr. Truyol discussed reducing unsafe driving habits, seatbelt usage, placarding, CSA scores & shipping papers at Sherwin Williams in Hialeah, FL
Last week Over 25 different Law Enforcement Agencies were represented by attendees at Daytona International Speedway to learn the importance of CMV enforcement taught by Sgt. Meredith.
CVE Training, Tpr. Nelms partnered with Vistar in Orlando for their driver safety meeting with discussion on Pre-trip inspections, medical cards, distracted and fatigue driving, and more.
Last week 17 different Law Enforcement Agencies attended CVE Training Sgt. Meredith and Sgt. May who partnered with FDOT LEL Dist. 1 Janice Martinez to bring the importance of CMV enforcement in their jurisdictions.

Last week FHP CVE Instructors attended the CVSA Instructor re-certification conference held in Savannah. Troopers Nelms and McMahan helped demo FHP training Hazmat Cargo Tanks.
Sgt. Gonzalez and Lt. Daughtry conducted an Educational Outreach at the FDOT yard in Fort Myers, local FDOT CDL drivers.

CVE Jacksonville and Lake City joined RB Stewart. Lt. Ruff, Sgt. Moore, and Tpr. Chism shared the importance of driver safety and demonstrated a walk around inspection both in Jacksonville, and Daytona Beach last week.
