Less than 6 months to go until the Commonwealth Games return to the UK!
The UK Government is proud to support the games. A pleasure to be at Edinburgh Castle with the Commonwealth Games association, athletes & sporting organisations to celebrate the countdown to Glasgow 2026!
Pictured here in 1908: Baillon is to-date the only Falkland Islands Olympian, and he won gold!
(Emphasis on to-date, as The Falklands have many competitors go to the #IslandGames and #CommonwealthGames, and, hopefully, the #Olympics again some day!)
Let's go @TeamGB! Always making the whole Global British Family proud!
Little known fact: The Falklands may have never had an Olympian at the #WinterOlympics, but in the 1908 Summer Olympics a Falkland Islander named Louis Baillon was part of the Gold-Medal GB field hockey team!
