NEW: Actor Eric Dane, who passed away following a battle with ALS, records one final message for his teenage daughters.

Dane recorded the interview with Netflix in secret, knowing it would be released after his passing.

"Billie and Georgia, these words are for you. I tried. I stumbled sometimes, but I tried. Overall, we had a blast, didn't we?"

"I want to tell you four things I've learned from this disease, and I hope you won't just listen to me. I hope you'll hear me."

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of retired officer and current reserve officer, Kenneth “Kenny” MacLeod.

Officer MacLeod succumbed to his injuries last night following a traffic crash on Interstate 75 at Royal Palm.

Kenny honorably served our department from October 1990 to March 2020 and continued his commitment to service as a reserve officer beginning in April 2020.

His dedication, service, and legacy will not be forgotten. Please keep the MacLeod family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
