@Ballislife@DevDock Kobe to Artest was like Jordan to Rodman. Only player in the league at the time they respected enough to tame their ways and win a championship.
"Kobe passed me the ball. He never passes me the ball!"
16 years ago today, Ron Artest & one of the greatest NBA Championship press conferences ever 😂
Kobe to Ron Artest when he joined the Lakers:
"Better not get any BS from you. This is not the place to goof around, or act out. I'm expecting you to be extremely sharp, extremely crisp. I won't have it any other way."

@simscircuit it's funny how times change..
Have been at Monza at the height of LH's power and the hate was palpable.
Now the tifosi love him?! Yea ok!!
Michael was so troll for this music video like u can barely hear the song bc everybody’s talking over it and Michael himself doesn’t even show up until the very end and it’s only for 5 seconds
Isiah Thomas on Jalen Brunson:
“This is what we know as small people. Once we get our game right, we’re looking at everybody in the NBA saying ‘you can’t guard me.’ What Jalen Brunson just proved again, when your game is tight and right, no matter what size you are, you become the best at what you do. There wasn’t a player in the NBA this year, that you can say ‘oh, he can guard Jalen Brunson.’

I keep seeing people say more star players should be like Brunson with leaving money on the table to help facilitate winning. The Knicks are basically run by people that are like family to him. Brunson’s godfather is the GM. Brunson’s godfather’s son is his agent. There’s a level of trust there that typically does not exist! Brunson knows the Knicks are going to eventually take care of him no matter where his game is at when he’s extension eligible again. He also knows they are going to use the savings to actually try to win. Could most players trust teams to do that? HELL NO!
Lastly, winning and being a star on the Knicks comes with lifelong ancillary benefits that make the swing worthwhile.
Basically, Brunson didn’t take much of a risk. It was admirable to do, because he did not have to do it…but we shouldn’t act like it’s the same situation every star is faced with. Teams will turn on guys in a heartbeat, no matter what they’ve done for them in the past.
@PHLY_Sixers@_devongivens We need role players to build a great "team". The Sixers love going after "athletes". I want a team built to win. I am sick of dudes flexing after their dunks and the team sucks. Jalen Bruson isn't a dunker.
