''this is your final year with gp as race engineer. bringing him to the podium, after everything you've been through, him having a tough time last year as well. how special is it to have him next to you?''
max: ''i didn't expect him to go to the podium with me! i was very happy it was him! it could be the last one, so, atleast it'd be one with a special meaning.''
🤯 The maximum amount of points a driver could score on a race weekend is 33. Only one driver has managed to accomplish that this season.
Max Verstappen in Singapore.
Driver #3 rediscovers 33. It's perfect.
Being a world champion does not give you the right to be condescending, disrespectful or rude. True legends, icons, and inspirational figures let their words, their actions, and the way they conduct themselves speak for them. There is a difference between confidence and arrogance, between standing your ground and disrespecting others, and between defending your actions and creating a toxic narrative to justify them. Greatness is not just about what you win… it is about how you carry yourself when you are challenged. IYKYK… Just sayin’ #F1
Let's put it this way,
At Baku, the deployment on Valtteri Bottas' Cadillac went haywire which led to his crash.
If it was one of the race leaders who had this happen to him, it would have been a massive backlash.
At Malaysia, if instead of 10 out of the 22 cars, only 2 or 3 cars(maybe top3) just stopped on track and everyone else made their way to the grid, the race would have started and those 2-3 cars would have been out because "the software died"...
And that would have led to a massive backlash..
At Singapore, the cars that got compromised were in SQ1,
If it was SQ3 and the order was decided because of the massive glitch, it would have been catastrophic...
F1/FIA are playing a dangerous game with these power units and they have been ridiculously lucky that the worst possible situation has not reared its ugly head.....yet
