🇬🇧 On the 75th anniversary of the 1951 Refugee Convention, I am pleased to support this shared commitment. Upholding human dignity, safeguarding the rights of people seeking protection, and advancing durable solutions for refugees and displaced persons are shared responsibilities of the international community.

The Hijrah to Abyssinia and the Hijrah to Medina stand as historical examples of the search for protection, the aspiration to freely practise one’s faith, solidarity, and peaceful coexistence. Inspired by this historical legacy, I support strengthening measures to protect the rights of displaced people, enabling them to live in dignity and to actively contribute to the societies in which they have found protection.

🇩🇪 Anlässlich des 75. Jahrestages der Genfer Flüchtlingskonvention freue ich mich, dieses gemeinsame Bekenntnis zu unterstützen. Der Schutz der Menschenwürde, die Wahrung der Rechte schutzsuchender Menschen sowie die Förderung tragfähiger Lösungen für Flucht und Vertreibung gehören zu den gemeinsamen Aufgaben der internationalen Gemeinschaft.

Die Hidschra nach Abessinien und die Hidschra nach Medina stehen als historische Beispiele für die Suche nach Schutz, den Wunsch, den eigenen Glauben frei ausüben zu können, Solidarität und ein friedliches Zusammenleben. Von diesem historischen Erbe inspiriert, unterstütze ich die Stärkung von Maßnahmen zum Schutz der Rechte vertriebener Menschen, damit sie in Würde leben und sich aktiv in die Gesellschaften einbringen können, in denen sie Schutz gefunden haben.

🇹🇷 Mülteci Sözleşmesi’nin 75. yılında bu ortak taahhüde destek vermekten memnuniyet duyuyorum. İnsan onurunun korunması, güvenlik arayan insanların haklarına saygı gösterilmesi ve yerinden edilme sorununa kalıcı çözümler üretilmesi, uluslararası toplumun ortak sorumluluğudur.

Habeşistan hicreti ve Medine hicreti; zulümden kaçan insanların güvenlik arayışını, inançlarını özgürce yaşayabilme arzusunu, dayanışmayı ve birlikte yaşama kültürünü yansıtan tarihî örneklerdir. Bugün de bu tarihî mirastan ilham alarak, yerinden edilmiş insanların haklarının korunmasını, onurlu bir yaşam sürdürebilmelerini ve bulundukları toplumlara güven içinde katkı sunabilecekleri kalıcı çözümlerin güçlendirilmesini destekliyorum.

Bugün Cenevre’de, @haseneorg adına @Refugees ile insani yardım alanındaki iş birliğimizi güçlendirecek önemli bir çerçeve anlaşmasına imza attık. UNHCR Dış İlişkiler Direktörü @DominiqueHyde ve @unoflucht Ulusal Direktörü Mark Ankerstein ile birlikte imzaladığımız bu anlaşmanın, krizlerden etkilenen insanlara umut olacak somut projelere vesile olmasını temenni ediyorum.

İnanıyorum ki güçlü uluslararası ortaklıklar, insani yardım çalışmalarının etkisini artırmanın en önemli anahtarlarından biridir. HASENE olarak insan onurunu merkeze alan çalışmalarımızı kararlılıkla sürdürmeye devam edeceğiz.

Eid is the most beautiful time to experience the unity of the Ummah and brotherhood.

Yet today, especially in the Middle East, many of our Muslim brothers and sisters are being forced from their homes due to ongoing oppression and conflict, unable to return, and compelled to leave everything behind.

On this blessed Eid, my prayer to Allah is that wherever you are, you may spend this time in peace, safety, and blessings with your family and loved ones. Our prayers are with our brothers and sisters in oppressed lands.
