I’m so ridiculously fortunate and grateful. 10 years of the @MacGLab, 10 years with talented and thoughtful lab members. Go raibh míle maith agaibh!
🎉🎉🎉
Thanks everyone, past and present, and we’ll keep some projects ready for those wee future coders in the picture
Congratulations @FMacG on your 10th lab anniversary! 🎉🎉🎉 Current lab members and alumni are very grateful for your mentorship and support throughout the years, and were delighted to celebrate this milestone (and your birthday!) with you 🥳🥂🎂
Do you know a middle or high schooler who loves science? Check out this awesome message from the Office of Science Director Asmeret Asefaw Berhe (who is a scientist herself) and then find out how to sign up for the National Science Bowl (@DOE_SC_NSB)! https://t.co/yo756YoMCl
🧵 HOT OFF THE PRESS:
BWCB is pleased to announce the publication of our editorial in @PLOSCompBiol titled "Ten simple rules for creating a global network in computational biology."

Check out the latest iteration of the menstrual cycle modeling work by Mette Olufsen of @NCState and multiple international collaborators https://t.co/J6FEm77pSQ
It’s true - there are sets of equations that describe key features of the menstrual cycle well, and credit for them goes to years of hard work by researchers like James Selgrade (@NCState), Erica Graham (@BrynMawrCollege), Mette Olufsen (@NCState), and others.
On the same day that we’re talking about code sharing and open science (https://t.co/M3tC46G0WT), these menstrual cycle models are a great example of researchers publishing carefully developed, working models that enable others to test, re-use, and build upon their work.
We are officially open to applications & nominations for our next leadership team! Terms are 2022-2024

Our review of computational models for #endometriosis diagnosis & treatment (w/ @FMacG & @AGonzalez_JHU ) is out!☺️Connecting findings from labs, animals, & patients takes creativity + collaboration. We talk previous work & future opportunities here: https://t.co/JnDAC9Npvx
@blkwomencompbio@PLOSCompBiol Thanks to the @blkwomencompbio members who took part for their thoughtful questions. And thanks to the many @PLOSCompBiol editors & the fabulous journal staff for volunteering their time to plan, prepare, and facilitate the workshop. Looking forward to the next workshop already!
Huge thanks to @blkwomencompbio for hosting @PLOSCompBiol editors and staff for this workshop; we had a great session discussing the review process, cover letters, how to suggest appropriate reviewers, how to interpret reviews, and how to revise papers & respond to critiques.
