Long before I made my first million, all I had was the dream of making millions...

...And during those years, that dream often felt so, so far away, as if I might only reach it in another lifetime.

Then out of nowhere came a realization that kept me going and helped me get there faster than I ever thought possible.

At the time, I didn’t have millions.

I didn’t have the knowledge, skills, resources, or connections to make millions.

But I did have one thought that kept the dream alive...

“Right now, I may not have everything I need to make a million dollars, but I have everything I need to take the next step toward it.”

So that thought got me to stop thinking about what I don't have and focus on what I have to take the next step...

I simply reminded myself:

I have everything I need, right now, to take the next step right now.

And I did.

It took me two years to make my first 24 cents.

Then I took the next step to $1,000.

Then $100,000.

Then my first million.

Then ten million, then twenty million, and beyond.

I started with nothing, but I always had everything I needed to take the next step.

And no matter where you are right now, what country you live in, how broke you are, or how few skills, resources, connections, or opportunities you have —you still have everything you need to take your next step.

Because that’s all the journey ever asks of you.

Not to know the entire path.

Not to have everything figured out.

Just to take the next step today.

Then another tomorrow.

And another the day after that.

And then one day you'll take a minute to look around and realize each of those steps led you to exactly what you once dreamed of.

For the boy child, you don’t say I want you to go running, you say let’s go run.

You don’t say, I want you to cook, you say let’s cook.

You don’t say I want you to clean, you say let’s clean.

You don’t say wake up early, you say we shall wake up so early tomorrow.

It helps them appreciate that men or boys too can cook, can clean, can exercise, can lay beds, clean their toilets.

The NHS is broken… 🥺
