Baccha elongata (female) 7–11 millimetres is a species of hoverfly (or flower fly) in the genus Baccha. The long, very slender body of this hoverfly is unmistakable.

Our children’s safari event was a huge success yesterday. Many thanks to our volunteers who gave up their time to make it happen! Approximately 200 attended!

Due to the yellow weather warning issued by the Met Office for tomorrow we have reluctantly taken the decision to postpone the Bats, Moths and Gloworms walk in Bedelands 1/2

It is so important to preserve our natural spaces for wildlife such as this!
