This year’s Paint Exchange was our biggest yet! We collected over 600 cans of paint that will be put to use in new projects around our community or properly disposed of.

Our Save The Frogs Day event is this Saturday! 🐸 Stop by the Outdoor Learning Park from 10am to 2pm on April 27th for a fun-filled day featuring live animals, games, crafts, education, and more! This event is free and open to all ages.
Less AMD means lower metal concentrations and a higher pH — allowing life to return to the lower stretches of our creek! 🐟

If you’ve taken a look at Deckers Creek around Morgantown in the past few days, you may have noticed that it’s looking a bit healthier. 🧵
After nearly 30 years of our organization sounding the alarm, acid mine drainage from Richard Mine is finally being treated! The Richard Mine Acid Mine Drainage Treatment Facility is now online and preventing hundreds of pounds of AMD from polluting Deckers Creek every day.
The final numbers for our #wvmakeitshine cleanup are in! In just one day, we had:
⭐️ 101 volunteers
⏱️ 250 hours served
🥾 2 miles of trail cleaned
🚮 2,620 lbs of trash collected

Thank you to everyone who came out for our annual WV Make It Shine cleanup on Saturday! We had roughly 90 volunteers collect over 130 bags of trash. Deckers Creek, the Rail-Trail, and our community are all cleaner thanks to the hard work that everyone put in. 🤩 #wvmakeitshine
