@csoincorporated and its FOH program have been selected to launch a #MedicalRespite Pilot Program in @WesternMass that would provide homeless adults discharged from medical care with a safe place to recuperate and recover.

So grateful for all who came out to support our Friends of the Homeless Fundraiser Golf Tournament on Monday. You helped us raise nearly $40,000!
If you'd like to support our Friends of the Homeless emergency shelter programs, visit https://t.co/oFyvG8NDDV.
Our FOH teams work hard to place shelter guests into safe permanent housing, but a vacancy shortage challenges those efforts.
As @gbhnews reports, @MassGovernor Healey's administration is working to "tailor policy ... for housing development."

FOH, a program of nonprofit @csoincorporated, is *MUCH* more than "just" an emergency shelter.
Last month alone, we helped place 21 adults into permanent housing, 14 into temporary housing, and 9 into higher levels of care (hospital, detox, rehab, group living, etc.).
1st-graders at Rebecca M Johnson School in #SpringfieldMA helped sow seeds in plastic containers to be transplanted into spring garden beds at FOH.π±
Leading the project was Mallory Caplan of @rachels_table and Nicole Coakley of @SpfldCollege's Center for Service and Leadership.
Sharon Ofori from the Daughters of the Imperial Court delivers 20 "Blessings Bags" for guests at FOH's women's shelter in #SpringfieldMA. The bags included self-care products and undergarments.
If you'd like to #donate or #volunteer, email [email protected].
This piece by @WMassNews' @LeonPurvis highlights the effectiveness of #mentalhealth clinicians co-responding with local Police partners to certain 911 calls.

FOH is *MUCH* more than "just" a shelter. Our team helps guests navigate the system for sustainable housing solutions.
In January alone, FOH helped 18 adults secure permanent housing, 2 more to find temporary housing, and another 33 to access higher levels of care.
Brutally cold weather is headed our way this week, with wind-chill temps below zero degrees. π₯Ά π§
Much thanks to our friends Jan and Pat Callahan, who donated 200 "Cold Care" packs, which each include hat, gloves, and neck warmer. π§€
LET'S STAY WARM! π‘οΈ
The 2021 Women of Impact were celebrated by @BusinessWest413 in #SpringfieldMA at a ceremony and banquet. CSO's own President & CEO Karin Jeffers was acknowledged for her leadership in driving community access to quality, trauma-informed #behavioralhealth care in #WesternMass.
According to @UMASSDonahue, #SpringfieldMA has seen a "steady decrease in vacant housing units."
Low vacancy rates make it hard for folks to find apartments.
