Is it too much to ask for a city to have some planners who use physics to calculate water volume and drainage capacity?

Today's brief rain in Sholinganallur has enough water stagnation to call for boats. We hope some brilliant planner will not suggest increasing the height of road and moving the problem to elsewhere.

Chennai needs proper underground infrastructure more than above ground infra. Till that is solved we may never going to get out of this mess.

🚨 GCC clears 4,491 Illegal Posters in One Month

Chennai’s anti-poster drive removed 4,491 illegal wall posters between May 12 and June 9, with fines totaling ₹2.45 lakh. Kodambakkam saw the highest number of removals at 1,019 posters, while Adyar recorded the highest penalties at ₹70,000.

The campaign is part of GCC’s ongoing efforts to improve civic cleanliness and maintain public spaces.

@COPTBM We often see that more than half the policemen fail to wear helmets, and seatbelts (while driving official police vehicles). Immediate education and strict action and internal compliance is needed. As law enforcers, police officers must set an example for the public.
