Internet Computer Just Activated a New Level of Security...

@Dfinity officially launches SEV Subnets on the Internet Computer to eliminate plaintext data exposure at the hardware level.

This integration uses Secure Encrypted Virtualization (SEV) to ensure sensitive data remains encrypted even when viewed by entities with direct physical access to the server hardware.

Engineering Lead Björn Tackmann confirms that this upgrade resolves a fundamental vulnerability in traditional cloud computing, in which data is processed in plaintext within the memory layer.

This is great for businesses and governments for 3 reasons!

1.) The software is alive
Today your software is set in stone the day you buy it. Want a change? roadmap. wait. AIware ends that as the data lives inside the software, so AI just looks at what you've got and rebuilds the thing as you ask, near real time. fluid.

2.) Your whole company becomes superintelligent
If you run ALL your systems this way, on your own cloud engine, built with Motoko backend, they stop being separate tools that don't talk. They become one living picture of the whole company that AI can see and act on. Not stale reports from systems that disagree. As a CEO you see the actual state of the business, right now. You can ask the org itself what's happening, you test a decision before making it.

3.) No vendor lock-in and no complicated setup
Creating an intelligence layer on a legacy IT stack means even worse lock-in and dependencies than most are already trapped in today. Data in one product, apps in another, pipelines in between, databricks holding the keys. nothing speaks the same language, no AI sees the whole, and leaving gets harder every year. worst part: all of your intelligence now sits with one vendor.
