Today we hosted the Edinburgh Councils first ESB Sports day!
There were 7 schools involved, promoting inclusivity and enjoyment through the event, itโs fair to say we are excited to host again next year!
Thanks to @ActiveSchoolsED for the help as well as our Senior pupils ๐
As part of our Respect Me lessons, we had to think about "Respect"-what it looks like, sounds like, feels like. We created a display for our HWB board to remind us. @forresterhs@forriesequality@_respectme_
A lovely afternoon on Friday at Woodlands School meeting colleagues, sharing ideas and our vision of inclusion.
Thanks for hosting! One of the best collegiate activities that I have attended! ๐@CEC_EPS#inclusion
Teambuilding with the Army on Wednesday! They all worked well together. Great feedback from the organisers! Well done! ๐๐@forresterhs#teambuilding
A brilliant time for D and J at Edinburgh Zoo! Thank you to Miss Hood, Mrs. Robertson, and Mr. Duffy for organising! @forrester_music @forresterhs@EdinburghZoo ๐ง๐๐ฆ
Many thanks to @forresterhs in Edinburgh and @StKentAc in Blackburn for inviting me to join staff on inset days today.
Absolute pleasure to work with you all and appreciate colleagues sharing so many powerful reflections.

We are creating a rainbow for our Zen Zone board. We are working together as a team. Everyone had a part to play which just naturally occurred! Great teamwork and they have set their standards high! @forresterhs#teamwork#inclusion#expectations
If you are passing the ESB, take a look at our brilliant acrostic poems we wrote using the word RESECT. Our ideas were amazing and we were definitely independent writers. @forresterhs#Respect#inclusion#literacy
We have been busy keeping our school environment clean and tidy. We worked in teams to collect and record the litter that had been left. Great work ESBers! ๐ฎ@forresterhs#friendships#Respect#EcoSchools
Making butter was hard work! But we learned that the cream is shaken so that the fat particles get shaken out of position and clump together with other fat particles to make the butter. We used the buttermilk to make scones for our coffee morning. @forresterhs@forries_science
We made our own butter for our coffee morning! The instructions said 3 minutes...it was more like 30!๐๐คฃ(but it was worth it!) @ forresterhs #wherefoodcomesfrom
Part of our learning was skills for life. We used our Young Scot cards to use the tram to get into town. We looked at the timetable to check times and worked out the distance from the school to the tram stop. @forresterhs#skillsforlife#placebasedlearning
