Working Party in Southwood Park
Saturday 22nd 11am
Clearing vegetation, painting container, painting out graffiti
Refreshments provided

[Friends of Southwood Park @FOSPNewEltham]

@SEninemag The road is wide, the majority of the parking is no danger to anyone. Far better to impose a nominal daily charge, to benefit the borough

Southwood Pk had a successful first Parksfest event last year. With a bit of knowledge under our belts we signed up for our second this year. @Royal_Greenwich added new forms, new rules, duplications, don't turn up for the site walk round that THEY requested. WE'RE VOLUNTEERS

[Friends of Southwood Park @FOSPNewEltham]

@theplumster @Commoninsense @Royal_Greenwich We formed for the simple reason that Southwood Park was ignored by RBG. @Royal_Greenwich We feel that we fight for every step forward. Had the erroneous belief that they would welcome volunteers, but we are treated as nuisances.

[Friends of Southwood Park @FOSPNewEltham]

@Sarkies_Proxy @Royal_Greenwich the one on Fooyscray road {last years} has worn away completely, no road markings now

[Friends of Southwood Park @FOSPNewEltham]

3 volunteers worked in Southwood Park today, getting rid of the graffiti on the containers. Got a bit further with strimming the overgrowth that @Royal_Greenwich ignore

Its back, put the date in your diaries, get your dogs ready for the show and prepare to be entertained!

With #TheWalkingDead coming to an end we know we're getting a Carol and Daryl series and looks like we're getting a Maggie and Negan #IsleOfTheDead then there's #TheWalkingDeadOrigins #TalesoftheWalkingDead #DeadintheWater and finally a comedy spinoff which I'm least excited for

[The Walking Dead @WalkingDead_AMC]

A bold new vision of #TWD is coming. #IsleOfTheDead arrives 2023 on @AMCPlus and @AMC_TV.

On Tuesday we held our first AGM, it went smoothly, when we listed all our achievements in the first 2 yrs of existence (Covid time) we have made significant differences. Amazing what a group of determined people can do. Path, benches, picnic benches, bulbs, trees

@SEninemag Such a joy to see

[Friends of Southwood Park @FOSPNewEltham]

Thanks to the New Eltham Community who voted for Southwood Park to recieve funding for our new pathway leading to the picnic benches. Thanks to Dr Amit Patel and Guide dog Kika, and Reverend Annette for helping us open the new path.

[Friends of Southwood Park @FOSPNewEltham]

We are so proud that we raised the funds for this new pathway to the picnic benches, and we want everyone to come along and check it out.
