This letter concerns a promise made to a true Jets legend, soon-to-be 84-year-old Matt Snell, the powerful running back who scored the team's only touchdown in our #SuperBowl III victory.

It has long been a part of Jets lore that former owner Sonny Werblin promised Matt Snell a "job for life" within the organization for his instrumental role in our championship.

However, that promise was not upheld after Werblin's departure. With all due respect to the contributions of past owners, the failure to honor this commitment is a stain on our team's legacy.

You, as the current owner and incredible philanthropist, have a unique opportunity to right this historical wrong and receive the admiration of Jet Nation.

By reaching out to Matt Snell directly and finding a meaningful way to bring him back into the Jets family, you can demonstrate a profound respect for the players who built this franchise and its history, which you inherited when you purchased our team.
