LASD Sheriff’s Response Teams (SRT), in collaboration with the @longbeachpd, @OrangeCoSheriff, @Inglewood_PD, @AnaheimPD, @FPDPIO, and @elmontepolice participated in a multi-agency training exercise in preparation for upcoming international events, including FIFA and the Olympic Games.
The mission of the Sheriff’s Response Teams (SRT) is to respond quickly to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and pre-planned events that are potentially life-threatening and/or disruptive to the civil well-being of the communities within Los Angeles and Orange counties. The personnel are hand-picked, well equipped, and well trained to respond to any event.
Through regional partnerships and realistic training scenarios, we’re improving coordination, preparedness, and public safety ahead of major events coming to Southern California.
