Fantasy football’s whole premise is that you don’t know what happens. So I built the opposite.
FPL Hindsight: a real Premier League gameweek that’s already happened, handed to you to solve. 🧵
You’d think knowing how the gameweek went would make it easy. It doesn’t.
That gap, between knowing what happened and actually learning from it, is the entire game.
And it’s weirdly hard to put down. https://t.co/PdejsXVhOs

Learn from the past. Improve your decision making. F2P👇
Each day, same GW for everyone in the world.
You’re dealt a hand of clubs & positions, draft the best XI you can, choose a captain, watch it sim.
Then you get graded, S to F, benchmarked against the real FPL scores from that GW.

@premierleague Yep, that was DGW37 21/22. Newcastle won 2-0.
Bruno G. 11 pointer (goal, CS, + 3 bonus pts).

🚨 I made the FPL version of 38-0
It uses real historical FPL data - Pick a chip · Spin your XI · Chase Rank 1
Free. No ads, no signup, nothing to buy.
It's called FPL Hindsight (https://t.co/rhm7Uw76Rd) and it's inspired by @38_0app, but made for the FPL Community. One real historical gameweek a day, the same one for everybody:
1⃣ Pick a chip (TC - 3x captain mult, FH - 2 -> 11 respins, BB - squad size 11 -> 13).
2⃣ Spin a random PL club and position. You're not picking from 600 players, you're picking the best player from the club/position you rolled.
3⃣ Pick who hauled. Minutes, form, ownership, TIN on the table. Pick one per slot, max three from any club. No budget.
4⃣ Lock the armband. Then the gameweek plays out minute by minute, watch returns in real time or clean sheets getting wiped.
5⃣ See your Grade. Grades are benchmarked against the real average and OR1 scores from that GW.
6⃣ Also: See a live leaderboard on the day, Review insights on your draft, Challenge a mate, Track your daily streak, Create custom FPL graphics, and more.
The Motivation: The idea for Hindsight came from Pep Roulette (rip) and everybody who's said, "If only I knew their minutes." But knowing the mins doesn't always mean knowing who hauled.
Today's daily is 2022/23 GW29, a 16-fixture DGW. Community average that week was 80 and the OR1 score was 173. High-scoring, which means multiple routes to points and various viable chip strategies.
I still haven't hit an S rank on this one, and I made the game. So achieving an S is a genuine challenge.

Few things to note:
- It's hindsight, so yes, you can go and google the GW. The game is built around that rather than pretending otherwise, it's meant to be more than just a trivia game. Hence the rolls, the chips, the daily challenge.
- The game is to keep replaying until you find the top haulers from that GW. Pick them, captain them, repeat.
- I've found reviewing old GWs, stats, and points scored helps internalize actual FPL decision making. Form does not always = Points. Nor TIN, nor Ownership (even Mins).
- Fun way to introduce someone new to FPL. Learn the players' names, the lingo, the teams.
- Yes, it's vibe-coded. Claude wrote most of the code — I'm a Software Engineer by trade though, the game design, the grading curve, the balancing and the UI/UX came from me.
- Historical data is from vaastav's Fantasy-Premier-League archive, which is the real MVP and deserves a S/O.
