FDR schedules are created using statistics from each team’s home and away matches during the 20/21 season, taking into account NPxGA, xGA, finishing ability, no. of games played, and opposition difficulty. Data from @fbref.

@TheFPLPrince The real question for me is Raphinha or Rodrigo - Rodrigo’s underlying numbers are better and is more likely to score, but Raphinha looks more threatening when watching Leeds play and usually has more game time...

@BenCrellin Playing BB straight after a WC is probably much more likely to go to plan than three weeks later as I had planned to do in GW16. I’m leaning towards no hit this week (which will probably be a differential by the looks of it 😂) then BB in GW23 or DGW26 after WC in GW25.

@BenCrellin Assuming WC is played in GW25, I think the aim would be just to choose a set of bench players that play in both GW26 (for BB) and BGW29 - at this point it’s hard to know what those games will be but we’ll have the info beforehand and also transfers to prepare.

@BenCrellin @fpldare City vs Liverpool in GW23 though, so if you have three defenders from those two teams, the question to ask is whether you’d start them ahead of your LEE and SOU attackers, if not, then better to bench boost in DGW19.

@BenCrellin @fpldare Spot on - the right way to think about using BB is, holding your starting 11 constant, when will your bench be the strongest (but still worse than the first 11). So if LEE vs SOU get a DGW (eg GW23) and they’re the players you’d have benched anyway, then better to save it.

@FPL_Salah I think it’s worse to get Dias and have Cancelo haul than to transfer Dias in and lose the point difference you would have otherwise gotten if you kept him - so I’ll be keeping. I also think Pep took them both off after 45mins to play them against Brighton.

I think these are some of the more relevant stats for predicting expected FPL point returns, so assuming both start for #ARS, Smith-Rowe would be my pick - his cheaper price tag can also allow for more premium players and/or better sub options.

@sertalpbilal It���s hard to imagine a risk-averse strategy beating 7 million other players, but I’d be interested in an analysis of previous winners’ strategies.

@sertalpbilal This would be an effective strategy for mini-leagues given the smaller number of players. However I think if the goal is to win FPL (as unachievable as that is), I’d imagine that differentials would be the way to go (at least outside of the obvious selections).
