There’s no disgrace in losing to the reigning World Champions and the best player who ever lived… but the manner we (again) meekly surrendered when the chips were down just hurts. Even a German manager can’t stop England being England. 😔

Another opportunity missed. This was the game for England not to be England - on the front foot, aggressive, overpower a team that does have cracks. But it was meek, chaotic and no matter how much England has changed, you always end up with a safety first mindset and a final 10 minutes of the keeper punting it up to the CB. England lost their courage as the tournament went on

Switch the armband to Saka and play Darlow over Bart and we’re sailing into the top 100K comfortably. As it happens we’re 18pts worse off and resigned to a 6-digit finish. Such fine margins in this game 🤷🏼‍♂️
