Here are your Cheatsheets for each position for #FIFA World Cup Fantasy! Each position ranked based on underlying stats, expected minutes, price, ownership and more!
Some team projections on Statz Iโve found very useful for my WC Fantasy planning.
Focusing on MD1&2:
๐ช๐จ Ecuador top 3 defence - double up viable?
๐บ๐พ Uruguay top 6 defence - underlooked?
๐จ๐ญ Swiss top 6 attack - punt on Embolo/Vargas?

I've simulated the World Cup 100,000 times and one thing is already clear about the new 48-team format:
โ 6 pts = 100% qualify
โ 4 pts = 99.8% qualify
โ ๏ธ 3 pts = 67% qualify
โ 2 pts = 5% qualify
The new format is quite forgiving.
3 points and a -2 goal difference gets you through more often than not.
An update on the MD1 + MD2 Projected goals and Clean sheets per Spreadex. International football is generally a major coin toss so I plan to share similar data from a team strength model to illustrate how wide the error bars can be.
๐ช๐จ Ecuador, ๐จ๐ฆ Canada, ๐ฒ๐ฝ Mexico interest.
Expected Cleans for MD1 + MD2 of the World Cup:
๐จ๐ด Colombia, ๐จ๐ญ Switzerland, ๐ซ๐ท France all quite good for value here. I'd go heavier on French defence than attack just because other big nations have higher xG.
Will still have Mbappe and Gabriel though ๐

Team strengths based off bookmakers tournament win odds.
Looks a case of WC in MD3 for a Free Hit.
If you want to activate your WC32 right now in order to BB33 and FH34, you can pick one of these two teams depending on who you think will win the Man City v Liverpool FA Cup game:
