Y5 absolutely loved getting outside to observe their surroundings, in art. We finished the unit with a mini art gallery, and everyone collected some very mature and useful feedback. @FallaParkSchool

The rain didn’t stop our adventures at Longwitton farm! We learned about the machinery and vehicles, and all the crops and animals. We even had the chance to turn wheat into flour! @FallaParkSchool

In PE, we are becoming experts at orienteering. We can orientate a map and follow a route. Y5 got very competitive about who would be the first group to complete the course around school! @FallaParkSchool @Miss_Carr_Falla @MrSmith_falla

We are really enjoying our landscapes work in art! We practised mixing different media: ink and watercolour, charcoal and water, or oil pastel and pen. @FallaParkSchool @Miss_Carr_Falla

I think we have some future Bake-Off winners in Y5. We rounded off our DT topic on seasonality by practising our dough-making skills to make raspberry shortbread. Decorating them was lots of fun, but eating them was better😁 @FallaParkSchool @Mrs_Crellin

Our PE award was for ‘determination’ this week, because there was lots of co-operation and perseverance needed in orienteering! Everyone got there in the end with their challenges, though👏🏼 @FallaParkSchool @Miss_Carr_Falla @MrSmith_falla
