@Tristan1986 For pangolin day my favourite pangolin fact (other than that they are closely related to carnivores not anteaters) is that their tongue muscles attach down near their hips, on an elongated process off the sternum

New art :) entitled "Mother's Little Helper" because there are simple pills with the actual curative powers ascribed to the scales for which pangolins are being hunted to extinction. Particularly poignant is the fact that pangolin mothers carry their babies on their tails.

Despite being a little-known species, the pangolin is the most trafficked mammal in the world.

With more than 1 million being traded illegally since 2000, it's important to raise awareness of these mysterious creatures

The illegal wildlife trade depends highly on the trafficking of pangolin products.
Demand is high for a pangolin's:
❗️ Meat (eaten as a luxury dish)
❗️ Scales & blood (used in traditional medicines & 'health tonics')
❗️ Skin & scales (used to make clothes & ornaments)
