Students should be constantly reflecting when learning in classrooms. This is an essential step for students to allow them to make real connections with the content. Without this students may not value or retain knowledge. #uonteach#reflectioniskey

#IWTK 1/3 It's a profound myth that Aboriginal education is just for Indigenous students.
Many schools use the line "but we only have x amount of students, so we don't really teach or celebrate NAIDOC Week", etc.
Say it with me, "Indigenous education is for ALL students".
It is so lovely when public figures acknowledge and focus more then just ‘negatives’ in regards to Aboriginal culture. This helps enlighten the wider community and breakdown negative stereotypes!! #UoNteach#breakdownbarriers

I can remember this incredible read from Primary school. As an educator, I have found incredible value in using Aboriginal Dreamtime stories in teaching 😀
