We gave my sister ₦3 million to start her business. Most of us had to struggle to raise that money because we genuinely wanted to see her succeed.

Instead of focusing on the business, she took ₦350k from the money to pay tithe. The funny part is that when she was desperately asking for help, her church was there, but nobody considered helping her financially.

When we found out, some of my siblings got angry. Even my dad was pissed.

Instead of understanding why we were upset, she got angry too. She said she didn’t know the money came with “conditions.” According to her, if we had told her not to pay tithe, she wouldn’t have collected money that God wouldn’t want a share of.

At that point, we all left her alone. It’s her life, and we all have our own lives to live.

Fast-forward to today, the first message I saw in our family WhatsApp group was her soliciting for another ₦500k to add to the same business.

Nobody has replied yet.

I’m just reading the group chat like a Netflix series. 😂
