To experience this kind of smooth responsiveness when I am connecting in Australia, to a server in Singapore playing with someone in Europe, is pretty cool.
These are the type of results we've experienced in QA & hopefully most testers have a similar experience, but that is the whole reason of the Pre-Alpha state, to test different PC & network environments, and then identify any issues, fix & improve.
We are going to test different server locations, starting with Singapore, and it would be useful to see how say a group of testers from Europe experience multiplayer on the Singapore server, a group between America and Europe, a group based only in Asian / Oceania.
Remember, this specific multiplayer system we are testing now is for the open world of #E2V1 & will mainly be for interactive experiences that will not always require fast responsiveness meaning people from different locations around the world can interact without too much risk of losing out on something if they have a slightly higher ping.
For experiences that involve PvP & even some Co-op PvE type experiences, we will run dedicated services for the specific group of Players participating, with options to select regional location, as those experiences will obviously require lower ping, more responsiveness and so forth. This has been covered briefly in the past but just reminding people again who may have missed that or forgotten.
Final reminder, if someone has a really bad internet connection & high ping they will glitch - we can't control how good someone's internet connection is. For those testing together who decide to do a live stream or even record then post later after editing, please try to share details about your ping, FPS (displayed constantly in the lower right corner) in stream or recording and also back to us via the usual tester reporting avenues - we appreciate it🙏

Not that I should really need to say anything as most people would know, but remember X only supports up to 1080 format, I think they actually force 720p, so the quality of the footage I have shared has been reduced to 720p by X.

New Essence staking system inbound on #Earth2 for Essence and Land Holders.
Players will be able to load up their Mentars with Essence which will allow Mentars to attract more Ether, thus increasing the Ether production from such land (esp larger properties).
Shane also mentioned earlier how Earth 2 land has only grown in utility. Holding land over a period of time has allowed players to mine Ether (incl. civilians), Essence - from Ether, helped host/build Cydroids from Essence, Produce Jewels and Resources.
Essence by itself has increasing utility which includes:- Ability to power Cydroids for Raiding and Resource Prospecting, Allows users to stake on Resource and Content submission claims thus offering an opportunity to earn ROI on Essence held, Allows jewel improvements (to power various boosts), Powers land upgrades for increasing Ether production
We estimate that approx. half of the withdrawn $ESS tokens have been sold so far, while the other half remains.
- Tokens Withdrawn till date:- ~41 Mn as per day-wise data shared by @theshaneisaac till date (~$5.2Mn weighted value)
- Token Trade Volume till date:- ~47 Mn i.e. 47/2= 23.5Mn tokens sold (half of traded vol. assumed to be sell volume)
- Ratio of sold vol. to withdrawn volume = 0.58 i.e 58%. Adjusting for some back and forth trading, we estimate approx. half of withdrawn $ESS are sold.
- Combining this with Shane's recent statement that the big seller accounts, who benefitted from easy Essence via early mining plus staking(and refunds), have almost run dry of their $ESS balance. Thus, if new supply from holders doesn't arrive Essence could stabilize

Is this the bottom for $ESS (#Essence)?
Today @theshaneisaac shared in the #Earth2 discord that most of the heavy selling was from accounts that received easy Essence from either staking (including refunds) or from earlier when it was a lot more easy to mine, and that most of such accounts are cleared out or close to that.
This could be interpreted as a bullish signal for Essence which has been in a downtrend since listing. There is also the factor of pent up volume from over 3 years, which would have seen many users exit their Essence holdings in one go thus putting more downward pressure
With Essence becoming harder to mine progressively and then later once halving comes at 500m supply, Essence could potentially see better days ahead especially with the Earth2's 3D world E2V1 around the corner.

Recorded on my laptop 50 mins ago, some footage of #Earth2's #WIP 510,000,000km2 geologically accurate #Metaverse, #E2V1, to be widely powered by $ESS 🌎✌️
This footage shows seamless navigation in a 1:1 scale virtual #Earth from space down to detailed biomes, geological accuracy, satellite image overlay, #Player owned properties, interactable / playable environments and so forth.
Development on this scale takes time, but we have set a good foundation and continue to make progress plus we have a few new exciting updates to share over the next couple of months. The early stage #prealpha testing is running behind schedule, but will be going ahead in #Q3. We do have a shortlist for that test but emails have not yet been sent out just yet.
I know a lot of people are watching the $ESS token closely, but as I mentioned a few times before it launched, we expected a number of #Players to sell, especially those who acquired their $ESS in the early days when it was easier to mine & then from the high #staking rewards that I said would never been seen again. But at the end of the day people sell for different reasons.
The #Web3 market is also taking a hit right now with $ETH and $BTC dropping over the past week, further dropping 5-6% over the past 24 hours. As you know, we are not in control of the pairing or pools, if the pool is linked to $ETH as opposed to a stable coin like $USDC, the movement of $ETH will also have an affect on $ESS, whether up or down. There are many well established coins with years of trading that are down 10-20% over the past week.
It is important to remember these are still very early days, we still have a lot of steps ahead of us and we are still actively building our flagship product, something I believe is going to develop into a very robust product built with the future in mind.

Hi Carl. Thank you for your message and questions. Let me try to provide you with a few answers.
Yes, I agree more would be eager to acquire #skins under those circumstances, however, the messaging has been super clear that the skins we release leading up to #E2V1 will be #LimitedEditions and that the frequency of these #LimitetdEdition skins will reduce significantly once there is an open version of #E2V1 at which time we will adopt a more traditional skin store front (like fortnite for example) without anywhere near as many #LimitedEdition releases.
1 - I have answered this question in Discord a few times over the past few days:
We're making good progress in some areas, but the test might be a little behind schedule. We will try to make up for it in Q3 which I think will overall sync in better based on the ESS release time etc
2 - Releasing a token was always going to put pressure on our fiat system, but we were committed to releasing the token and our community expected this, therefore we need to deal with the aftermath of that decision. For this reason I already had the team working on transitioning some parts of our systems to also support $ESS purchasing, and #skins is definitely one of those areas, which is great as it obviously adds more #utility to #Essence - something we want to continue to expand on long term.
3 - It was already going to be hard to know what to expect. As I have mentioned in Discord and here on X a few times, remember, there have been some Players mining Essence for 3+ years so there is a backlog of #Essence being sold, a lot of that from a time where #Essence was a lot easier to mine - it takes a lot more time to mine now. Some of these #Players would have sold their land for profit and the extra #Essence tokens just increase that profit for them, so I am thinking they are not really concerned about the price they sell for as it’s already profit, which is fine, it’s their #Essence, they earned it, it’s in their wallet and it’s their choice what they want to do with it. I imagine this process will take a little while to transition, it is 3 years worth of mining, we just need to go through the process and once it’s mostly over we move on from there.
People may also be watching to see what happens, we only launched just over a week ago so it's still very early. I imagine a number of people are wondering if the price might go down further, or is it already around the bottom? These are things hard to determine in the space of a few days, so I guess many would be monitoring the trades with that perspective or position in mind, which is understandable.
Personally, I have been surprised at how stable the price has been so far, just swaying a couple of cents in both directions really .. remember we have not officially announced anything, not spread any awareness etc. If you have time, I would strongly recommend you read these historic posts I made leading up to the release which help to explain a few things and set some expectations:
