Aga with things I desperately needed 5+ years ago π€£ Fantastic to see how far the community has come in supporting high quality data processing and uncertainty budgeting #FICE2024
Things I needed back when I was an ocean colour researcher - a community processor for radiometry! Dirk Aurin sharing HyperCP, a collaboration across agencies and the community @CopernicusEU@FRM4SOC#FICE2024
Welcome to @CopernicusEU#FICE2024! Today @FRM4SOC and @eumetsat kick off this 2 week workshop which is designed to build the capacity to make FRM quality measurements for satellite ocean colour validation. I'm looking forward to joining the course in person soon!
Copernicus FRM4SOC-2024 training on In situ Ocean Colour Above-Water Radiometry towards Satellite Validation will kick off on Monday 6 May at CNR-ISMAR in Venice and nearby Acqua Alta Oceanographic Tower (AAOT) in the Adriatic Sea. https://t.co/qWwQmTM7el
The 3-day Workshop is wrapped up. Thank you #eumetsat, the community and experts for participating. We have gained valuable feedback and have a mission to provide clear guidelines and tools for the ocean colour community to ensure the FRM quality of measurement results.
Instrument cal/char database (FidRadDB #rbins), Community Processor (CP #acrist) and in situ measurement database (OCDB #brockmann) were introduced and discussed with the FRM community.
Day 2 of FRM4SOC Workshop started with a keynote speech by Dr Andrew C. Banks from #hcmr on user perspective suggestions. The best practice requires calibration of all sensors before and after each campaign.
The keynote speaker Dr Stewart Bernard from the South African National Space Agency is talking about the FRM resources and community needs. He emphasized that it is very important to have a discussion with the global FRM community.
The first day of Project Workshop @EUMETSAT, Darmstadt has started. During the 3 days of the workshop, we present the most important outcomes from the FRM4SOC phase project and seek for agreement in the community through discussions.
@FRM4SOC at the 7-th Sentinel 3 Validation Team Meeting, 18 - 20 October 2022 at ESA-ESRIN. Aiming to provide S3VT easy procedures, guidelines and tools to collect FRM-quality in situ measurements and facilitate validations.
Ilmar Ansko presents on behalf of the @FRM4SOC team on the important fiducial reference measurements they are making for satellite ocean colour. Community processor coming up #OOXXV
Irradiance sensor mast used on the FRM4SOC 2, 2022 field inter-comparison at the Acqua Alta Oceanographic Tower. Thanks to Kevin Ruddick and Matt Beck @RBINS, @PlymouthMarine, @AMT4CO2FLUX, #NEODAAS
