Happy #LunarNewYear from 4H! We celebrated the Year of the Tiger by exploring the various traditions (reading/social studies), analyzing character traits of the horoscope animals (ELA), folding tiger origami (math-geometry), crafting, & just building a positive, kind community!

What do you do when you get #stuck, #writers? During #writing, 4H writers came up with some solutions & said to NOT GIVE UP! We then read the hilarious book, Stuck, that demonstrates how #perseverance helped solve the boy’s problem. #dontgiveup #keepgoing #thatpoortree

4H #mathematicians are applying what they know about #rounding to bigger numbers. Ms. H loved 4H’s creativity in making a “rounding umbrella” that gathers the rain/numbers in buckets! Ms. Hahn will definitely use this idea in the future during #math!

4H readers have been building their #reading strategies by making connections and asking questions about what we read. We read 2 mysterious texts & while had A LOT of questions, we found #creative ways to relate the stories to each other!

Each year our Gr 6 students participate in fundraising for @WaterforSoSudan as part of their study of the book A Long Walk to Water by @LindaSuePark We were just notified that w/ the money our community raised over the years a new well was able to be drilled! #HivePride
