Just an update on the study to say we are still recruiting to the main study and to the male study. If anyone is interested in taking part or finding our more please visit our website: https://t.co/5eXF0RLQ5r
2/3We are asking father’s/male caregivers in Cardiff or Southend to take part in an interview in order to ask about their experiences of support, what they think may be helpful for men and their children, and whether a group programme might be something they would consider attend
1/3 As part of the FReDA study we are also interested in men who have experienced domestic abuse. We would like to find out what kind of support male parents/caregivers who have experienced domestic abuse think would be helpful for them and their child.
2/4 CODA is a 12 week programme which aims to prevent or reduce the impact of DVA on children’s mental health. Children and mothers/female caregivers take part in activities to explore their feelings surrounding domestic abuse.
3/4 The study we will compare whether children who take part in CODA do any better than similar children who don’t take part in CODA and receive usual care that is currently offered. We are only testing in two places at the moment; Cardiff and Southend.
1/4 We are really excited to announce the FReDA study, which is the first UK study to test CODA, is open for recruitment in Cardiff and Southend. It is being run by a fantastic team at @UELPsychLondon, @Cardiffuni and @ARC_EoE.
Researchers at @DECIPHerCentre are doing an amazing job of looking into domestic violence and abuse. They recently ran a workshop, we would highly recommend giving a watch. https://t.co/n6AVbB5dgg
