With the #NationalFestivalofFieldwork well underway, we were very excited to take @WestonbirtSch to Braunton Burrows today to look at psammoseral succession.
The Burrows are England’s largest sand dune system and harbour over 500 different plant species!

Before heading home, Year 5 had an exciting morning checking their mammal traps! We took a look to see what we had caught before safely releasing the animals back to their habitats.
