Ecological Modeller/Theoretical Ecologist/Data Scientist working as a Postdoc @Senckenberg on the effect of the consumption of agricultural products on land-use
(6/) For a deep-dive into the data behind the paper, we provide a data-exploration tool which can be accessed under https://t.co/abx8GcG4SE
We also published all the data, as well as the codes used to produce the figures under: https://t.co/U1cSxbCePS
(1/) Paper alert:
I am delighted to announce our newest paper “A global multi-indicator assessment of the environmental impact of livestock products” with my wonderful colleagues @geobiodiversity.
(5/) We also found that the global trade of feed products caused the displacement of environmental impacts, with 8 % of pressures on biodiversity, 9 % of deforestation and 20 % of the marine eutrophication impacts are linked to global trade of feed products, respectively.
Interesting talk about the need to co-produce common sense between science and the private sector to go jointly through transformation #resilience#Sustainability#socialecology
Für die neuen inter- und transdisziplinären Synthesis and Solutions Labs, sucht Senckenberg eine

#gfoe24 in Freising will focus on all aspects associated with land-use change. Hurry up and register, as there will be only about 800 spaces available 😉

Short-term (9 month) postdoc available in my group @idiv. We need someone with strong coding skills (R, Python) to build pipelines for geospatial analyses of biodiversity and driver change (geospatial modeling, GIS, remote sensing, etc. skills essential)

"Some experiments we do in the tropical system seem like artistic performances to local people. Interesting, but not really useful. However, both sides have fun."

Looking at pictures of trees reduces stress and maintains happiness, however there is no effects of tree-species richness.
Wow, great talk by Kevin Rozario. I really love all the interdisciplinary of the projects presented at #gfoe23
