Omo, this example of David, you must see what he faced very well before another person will think God just forgave him o.

God forgive David, but he was not spared from consequences.
Bible say, although God forgave David (2 Samuel 12:13), David still faced serious punishments because of his sin with Bathsheba and the killing of her husband, Uriah.

Omo, serious punishment.

Here are the punishments God gave David, as delivered through the prophet Nathan (2 Samuel 12:7–14).

The sword would never depart from David’s house

God said violence would rise from within David’s own family.
This came to pass,
Amnon raped Tamar
Absalom killed Amnon
Absalom rebelled against David and tried to overthrow him
Sheba later rebelled against David

David’s household experienced repeated violence, exactly as God said.

Evil would rise from David’s own house against him

God told David that someone close to him would betray him.

This happened when Absalom (David’s own son o) tried to take the throne, forcing David to flee Jerusalem.

David’s wives were publicly taken by another man

God said,

“I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor,
and he will lie with your wives in broad daylight.”
2 Samuel 12:11–12

This was fulfilled when Absalom slept with David’s concubines on the palace roof in the sight of all Israel (2 Samuel 16:22).

The child born from the adultery died

Nathan passed the message.

“Because by this deed you have given great occasion for the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme…
the child that is born unto you shall surely die.”
2 Samuel 12:14

Even though David fasted and prayed, the child died after seven days.
