I want to be respectful and try and use Japanese for basic things in Tokyo. So today at lunch I tired to ask for water in Japanese and the waitress just stared and said “water?” and I got nervous and responsed “si” so apparently my default language when nervous is Spanish…🤷🏼‍♀️😬
