Mercenary photographer.
Burning passion for Concert photography runs through my veins, with skills in Lifestyle, Festival, Portrait & Product photography🔥
I'm a firm believer that, big or small, one should stick with people working in the same branch as you.
Sharing contacts, forwarding clients, helping out when needed; you know old village stuff.
Having concerts where bands unite to help each other grow are among my favorites🔥
Nostalgia gripping the audience, the songs flowing deep into the night & singalongs just keep coming.
That's a textbook Neki Novi Klinci concert.
A flow practiced through years of dedicated work on stages across Croatia, making sure that any venue visited will be set on fire🔥
Slowly closing in on being 15+ years on the scene photographing concerts.
Many to count & lacking sleep even more, but wouldn't trade it for anything.
I can understand how the gang behind Neki Novi Klinci feels with them celebrating their 16th birthday when this photo was taken🔥
Hailing from Virovitica, Contra is a punk/grunge/rock band firmly rooted in the 90s & their album “Sunce izlazi na zapadu” is an unapologizing homage to the trends that made the genres so iconic from that era.
As one can imagine, the album promotion was a blast from the past🔥
Grateful that I can call photography my profession.
Few are the jobs where, in a single night, you can go from a classical concert enveloping your senses to Contra's promotional concert for their new album filled with hard riffs & vocals.
That kind of tempo suits me just right🔥
Works of Robert Schumann are masterpieces with an emphasis on the cello & when the time came for Hrvatski Komorni Orkestar to do a concert, there was no better choice than the Swedish cello soloist, Kristina Winiarski.
Burning the strings of her cello, mesmerizing the audience🔥
A conductor is the only part of an orchestra who, in a manner of speaking, is in the shadows.
But without them to keep the pace & instruct musicians, the whole score would be a mess.
Plus you get to see firsthand their passion for music.
This photo of Davor Kelić says it all🔥
Man short in the band & a gig coming up?
Mile Kekin managed to find a way to make it work; instead of going loud & bombastic, he dialed down his usual self for a more personal experience with the audience present in SAX.
Chair, mic & acoustic songs were all that was needed🔥
I have a list of photos to take before my light is extinguished.
Not a list of big names, places, or happenings; just specific moments envisioned, some plausible, others less so.
Scratched one from the list, a simple photo of an artist framed by speakers.
Perfect for the wall🔥
Pušipel, a grape variety found in the northern region of Croatia.
Naturally, it makes for some fine wine which was showcased during a special event "Gala Pušipel", organized by Vinart.
At the close of the night, a glass was presented with a specific design for this wine type.🔥
Considering portrait shoots, it's best to avoid alcohol (besides maybe for a prop).
Too often did I clean up red cheeks in edits & calm someone who got a bit too comfortable trying to take over & direct the shoot.
On the other side, when done, drinks are great for networking🔥
Stand Ups ain't a bad way to spend an evening.
A good laugh, a few drinks & you go to bed with a smile on your face; that is, if you catch the right routine.
With "Lajnap", there's no worry, for their show goes from bizarre to dark & back again, a little something for everyone🔥
I like to come up with slight out-of-the-box ideas for portraits during events.
This one being an imitation of the ever present "selfie"; the idea, due to one of them missing & the event a stand up, to go for a cheeky group photo as a simple "Yo mate! Where we at tonight?"🔥
"The Dance of Death" (Dödsdansen), a play written by August Strindberg which explores the not so happy aspects of marital life & the pain one goes through in a toxic relationship.
Heavy stuff but much in taste of @EurokazHR who don't shy away from doing plays with darker themes🔥
The position of a light can greatly impact how a subject is perceived by the viewer of your photo.
Combine that with the position of your lens (above, below, side) with a touch of one of the numerous focal lengths & you got yourself millions of possible photos with one person🔥
To build, to plant, to sustain & to create a community one must learn how to start.
For that reason, Hrvatska permakultura & Vestigium joined forced & created "Day of Permaculture & Transition" with the goal of empowering individuals to self sustainable & grow their community🔥
Never was a speaker at an event (photographed a lot of them tho) but was an announcer & commentator on e-sports events, so I know the feeling of having everyone's attention focused on you.
Takes practice to feel comfortable & even then the excitement never leaves your voice🔥
Once you have momentum on your side, you gotta stay hot & moving.
For Filip Rudan, these are words to live by.
Fresh from a TV Show showing his talent, he didn't wait for an opportunity, he created it.
Slam dunking a concert in SAX, making the very walls tremble from his voice🔥
The joys of colors, like shadows they do so much in forming the "feel" of a photo.
Personally, love & play around with them more than anything else while editing, often starting with a +20 saturation.
With tech getting better & a color wheel available anywhere, why not go crazy🔥
From time to time, a band shows up with who you unexpectedly vibe with.
Zoster is such band; where there's no need to be a fan to chill out to their music & let the groove take over.
They take you on a journey song to song & don't say "so long" until the last lyrics are sung🔥
