THREAD : @EWC_EN LCQ @EASPORTSFCPro MENA.
I prefer to discuss based on facts. After compiling data on all 128 players, 60 of them are from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Here are the statistics:
Players from MENA (excluding invited players), 60 players :
- 0% 🇲🇦
- 8% 🇪🇬
- 81% Middle Eastern 🇸🇦🇦🇪🇰🇼🇶🇦
- Africa 8% vs ME 81%
For detailed data, please contact me for the spreadsheet.
Now, let’s address the points:
1.First arrived, first served:
We registered as soon as the website was functional, but this isn't the issue. How can it be considered "first arrived, first served" when admins are controlling, validating, and sometimes rejecting registrations, which takes three days? Is there a log of the registration timeline available to us? Absolutely not. This is contrary to the principle of "first arrived, first served."
2.Charif's Invitation
Respectfully, is this even debatable? Charif ranks among the top 3-4 in the EAFC 24 World Cup. The last Arab player who performed better was MsDossary in 2018. Additionally, Charif hit the largest audience on Instagram (7.7M views), crazy reach on Twitter, and garnered 40,000 viewers on RCA streams without a single watchparty. Whether MOROCCAN or NOT, his invitation is well-deserved based on merit. Following up @Abo_Fawzi18 & @TiiArtist
3. Late Announcement of the LCQ:
Anticipating this, I prepared a cost-effective travel plan for Moroccan players. However, delays increase prices, who benefits most from this ? With the tournament in Saudi Arabia, travel and expenses are approximately 70% less for those in the Middle East compared to other regions. This late announcement doesn’t make any sense, that’s also a fact because nobody will ever say the contrary if it was more than 7,000Km far away from your country… Common sense.
Morocco, with a top3-4 EA FC, ranked top1 in MENA FIFAe rankings and top6 worldwide, has it’s own eLeague, has consistently delivered the largest audience and reach worldwide (FIFAe Nations, EA FC 24 World Cup, EA FC Pro Open 24)…
Our country invests heavily in EA FC through our federation, players, community, fanbase, and stakeholders.
We want our players to compete and reach higher standards on the virtual pitch, that’s our main and only motivation.
Conclusion :
I am not blaming anyone but seeking understanding for our players' frustration. With only couple days' notice, the investment to attend this tournament is substantial, and it’s also the only « playable » tournament without visa issues… A crucial one for our players.
There is no need for tension between our players and communities. We have always cheered for each other at every event, and that is the spirit we should uphold ! I wish the best of luck to all registered players !
Dima Maghreb, and see you next chapter, in the EA FC PRO OPEN 25 🇸🇦🤝
