@DPJHodges Liz Truss was bad, but at least the Tories dealt with the problem. The dysfunction lasted a couple of weeks. This has been going on for months and months.
Faced with a choice between a Defence Secretary who wanted to spend more on our armed forces, a Chancellor who wouldn’t, and an Attorney General who enjoys suing them, the Prime Minister decided he could do without … the Defence Secretary.
Emily Hand, 8 years old, was at a sleepover at the home of her best friend, Hila Rotem-Shoshani, in Kibbutz Be'eri when terrorists attacked. Her father was first told she had been killed—and admitted feeling a tragic relief, believing death was better than Hamad captivity. Weeks later, he learned she was a hostage. Emily spent 50 harrowing days in Gaza. She turned 9 years old on November 17, completely unaware of the date or her birthday. She was held alongside her friend Hila and Hila's mother, Raaya.
When Emily was finally released and reunited with her father, she learned that the woman who raised her had tragically been murdered on October 7.
The physical and psychological toll of her captivity took its toll. She could only speak in a terrified whisper after being warned to remain silent by her captives. Emily and her father are still working through the long, difficult process of recovering from the trauma.
THAT'S WHO YOU'RE DEFENDING.
THAT'S HAMAS.
Friends of mine have been working their balls off building a dog grooming business. They’ve invested their savings into fitting out three shops and employing staff. They’ve just been told their business rates have doubled to £10K per shop. They’re now thinking about cutting their losses and shutting them down. I’ve never seen a more anti small business government.
Please sign this petition to end the addition of the synthetic drug folic acid to our flour.
It's being added with the claim it might prevent ~200 neural tube defects.
The trial that claim is based on resulted in 9 dead babies per 'saved' child.

@Milajoy California is basically like a banana republic when it comes to elections. This is a shocking indictment of the largest state in the most advanced economy in the world. This is blatant cheating.
Every life matters.
One law. One standard. For everyone.
This is about justice, for Henry, for his family and for all our children. They deserve better.
I have been posting and writing about the Henry Nowak tragedy for three weeks, and have nothing new to say. Except one thing. That box-ticking phrase from the female officer when the murderer denies having stabbed Henry.
“I know, but we have to check, don’t we?”
What we hear in those words is not just the madness of DEI, which has taught her automatically to believe the non-white assailant over the white victim. We hear, too, the obsession with procedure, the elevation of HR, the triumph of public-sector seminars over decency. A culture of compliance has displaced a culture of conscience.
