We address the challenges faced by women carpenters who struggle with limited access to markets & fair wages.
One of our core strategies is to provide training & resources that enhance the skills of women artisans.

The last two weeks have been nothing but a work marathon. I have had to wear both my umbrellas. Eve the GM of @AmChamUganda and Eve the Founder of @VInteriorsLtd1 and @FUNDIWomenUG without the overcoat.
I am grateful for these umbrellas. I wake up everyday to perform my duties.
Meet Oddette and Barbra, the #FUNDIWomen that are currently working with @VInteriorsLtd1.
This week, we bring them to you as they tell their story and experience as carpenters and being part of the @FUNDIWomenUG program.
MWF Alumni @EveZalwango run program #FundiWomen is looking to help women discover the world of carpentry and unlock their potential through the free carpentry training program exclusively for girls.
They are located at Wakiso, Namusera
Deadline for registration is 1st August
Women who have learnt to do the work because they have been trained will act and work with confidence skill and initiative like any other builder.
At @FUNDIWomenUG, we aim at making carpentry skills accessible to Women. #FUNDIWomen
Female careers in the construction industry have remained shockingly low for decades, due in large part to the discrimination that blocks women from entering and staying in the field. #FUNDIWomen#WomensDay
Women want to learn Carpentry and there is a demand for more accessible carpentry programs with a safe learning environment.
We are glad to see many Women including Teenage Girls picking up on the #FUNDIWomen Program.
The idea is to train 40 women every year for the next 5 years in carpentry and its value chain.
Let girls learn.
