BUT... in the Electoral Vote...
You can technically have a Minority of people (defined by States) win over a Majority.

This is technically a Majority of States
vs a Majority of Populace.

Interesting though, that you say voting for people get you MAGA. That is one of the tenets of democracy.
51% (majority) can decide for 49% minority.
So it is interesting indeed that a party that fights for minority rights says we need to spread democracy which is really majority rights.

However, I suppose this is reversed somewhat when it comes to Electoral vote. A Minority of people can win by a Majority of States.

I suppose in that regard at least the electoral process in the USA does give a minority some power over the pure majority in that it keeps California and New York from deciding every election.
