Massive thanks to all who helped & took part last weekend. An amazing gathering of artists, activists, performers ...
Here's a picture from the closing session. Cyril Pearce looking amazed (in a good way) with Corinne Painter and Martin Crick after the final conchies session.
#Bristol#FirstWorldWar@BrisRadHis were pleased to be involved in the Commemoration, Conflict & Conscience event. Huge thanks to Lois Bibbing, Jeremy Clarke, @mshedbristol team & all who participated & shared ideas to make this a successful and memorable weekend @FWWCCC2019
Really enjoyed our session on women’s war resistance with Ali Ronan and Lucienne Boyce. Learned about some fabulous and largely forgotten women like Phyllis Skinner (Manchester) and Lily Girdlestone (Bristol)
Really looking forward to this performance at 12:30 today, Sunday 28 April, in the @mshedbristol. Do come along for a wonderful event if you are in the Bristol area! Today's programme of @FWWCCC2019 festival looks fantastic!
Two great guided tours on offer today at the @FWWCCC2019 festival in the @mshedbristol:
1:00-2:00pm of the 'Poppy Retake' exhibition, and
3:30-4:30 of M Shed's archive stores and displays to explore the Bristol's lesser known WW1 stories (offering some great surprises!).
Don't forget to stop by the welcome desk to get your programmes and flyers. You can also sign up for a tour of the Poppy Retake exhibition at 1pm. (And say hi to @AnnaHammerin and @CorinnePainter)
