@its_The_Dr Getting a bag of fruit and assorted nuts for Christmas was definitely a luxury when I was a kid!
Recently I've volunteered as a citizen scientist with Adventure Scientists! I've collected scat, drilled holes into trees, collected leaves and twigs in the name of science! The information I collected helps with national and sometimes global conservation issues!
The pictures below are from my time as a research scientist working to ascertain the affects of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the fish communities of the MS Gulf Coast!

Often the little things in life inspire the most curiosity and wonder.
This seashell was found on a beach in Florida while holding it I began to wonder about the animal that created this shell and what it's life was like... I'm sure it was a constant adventure!
