@FluteMagician The current regulations require that there is a economic payback to the consumer, etc. so per its title this bill is redundant except for the phrase "and for other purposes". Does the bill change the 7 criteria the DOE Sec. is supposed to consider?
@_Clare_P@Saffiya_Khan1 Don't count on it. Most rooftop RTUs start adding a lot more outside air via their economizers during the shoulder months ("free cooling"). During the hot days of summer and coldest days of winter, your CO2 reading may thus spike again.
@ziontree You are discounting the long-term, ongoing impact of "anti-atom" protest movements paid for for decades by the GDR, now Russia, etc. They laid the groundwork, atomic accidents like Chornobyl then had ample room to thrive re: misinformation - see Wackersdorf.
@PhillipsPOBrien For example, note how SPGs in storage are now showing up on satellite images minus their gun barrels, because same have been cannibalized. That's a choice a well-maintained military would not have to make. They'd send the SPGs instead.
@PhillipsPOBrien Oryx has published a list of visually-confirmed losses, creating a lower boundary. The UKR estimate is likely a upper boundary.
But RAF losses have to be massive or Russia wouldn't be sending T55's into the fight while depots have been drained of operable vehicles / tanks.
@BrianTheFella I hand out low-level CO detectors to everyone I know whose expecting rather than baby shower gifts (See COExperts). Those alarm reliably and at much lower levels than the UL-compliant stuff.
Finding any CO in a home should be cause for concern.
@CordlessRead @JamesLLandis To what extent training (or lack thereof) played into this? Some "third world" armies may have better-trained operators than R, i.e. more hours, rigorous exams, etc.
Not every buyer of Russian hardware is as kleptocratic, perennially-drunk, as R. army.
@NOELreports The UKR should respond by dropping a inflatable Grenade on each tank, just as the allies allegedly had some fun by dropping wooden “bombs” on a fake airfield the Germans were trying to fool them with in WWII.
@SawyerHackett@BRUTERULES Baloney. If No Labels were a serious third party effort, why are they only registering their party to be ballot in swing states then?
No Labels aims to elect DJT by taking advantage of the electoral college, full stop. A few thousand voters here & there = DJT back in WH.
@LauraMiers For us, it was giving thanks to researchers, front line folk, and those taking care of the sick. This 8’ lawn sculpture (paper mache) was a family project.
@Faustbot1 @LadyDoctorSays That’s a really good point in the context of the USA, doesn’t make as much sense in the EU given universal healthcare and higher barriers re: lawsuits.
It’s political, as those who resist masks shout down those who’d prefer safety.
@Osinttechnical Given how often APCs and tanks are left parked in the open with hatches conveniently ajar, one wonders to what extent the crews want them taken out by drone strikes.
@PhillipsPOBrien Pure Arrogance. No different than US Navy discounting Yarnells mock attack on Pearl Harbor & the lessons they should have learned. Per time life, many colonial folk didn’t believe that Japanese guns could kill them, etc. Well, they learned the hard way that wasn’t true.
@Heroiam_Slava I doubt Olaf will put US in a public bind if Biden says no, that relationship is too precious to him. So he continues to block until he’s given the green light.
Blocking also plays well domestically w/fraction of FRG voters that keep hoping for deescalation / negotiated peace.
@Heroiam_Slava Careful. AFAIK, both the US and FRG have to release Taurus, as it contains sensitive tech from both countries (turbofan, Nav system is US, the rest is FRG)
@PhillipsPOBrien The short reaction/flight time of ATACMs vs. SS should make it an excellent tool to take advantage of lightly-armored targets of opportunity, esp fixed wing and heli airfields, berths in harbor, munition depots, etc. R. logistics will suffer a lot.
@PhillipsPOBrien Taurus w/its warheads, fuze, etc. appears to be a bigger threat to the Kerch bridge (or any bridge) than the ATACMs v1 cluster-only munition variant. So per your attritional doctrine, Taurus (w/its FRG and US release reqmtns) would have a bigger impact.
