If anyone doubts Farage’s endless ability to shift and reshape the contours of British politics, I’d invite them to watch Keir Starmer’s speech today or read the accompanying documents. There has to be a policy response to address voters profound and real anxieties. But in ceding the intellectual ground so absolutely to his opponents and setting himself and the government up for likely failure, the risk for the PM is that he may well empower Farage even further. We’ve seen this story before.

Aus. Vorbei. Zum ersten Mal in meinem Leben werde ich meine Stimme bei einer Bundestagswahl nicht abgeben können. Tausenden Auslandsdeutschen geht es genauso. Warum ich stocksauer bin. 👇👇👇 https://t.co/Qv3xrPyMOw
Starmer taking an HIV test has achieved something: we now know how utterly clueless people are about HIV.
1. Heterosexuals can get HIV
2. HIV stigma and fear prevent people from testing.
3. But testing means getting treatment if required
4. Effective treatment makes the virus untransmitable.
5. Treatment means people living with HIV can have a normal life expectancy.
It's 2025 and self-presenting smart arse liberals like Jonathan Pie are spreading HIV misinformation. Crackers.
In the humanities, we don’t test whether students can do things. We test whether they can do things well. A failure to understand this distinction is why STEM supremacists think AI is going to kill the humanities by doing bad work instead of kill STEM by doing correct work.
There is not a single example in the recent past where mirroring far-right policies helped the mainstream parties.
Sadly that is a path German Conservatives have now gone down.
The winner will be the AfD.
We’re living in increasingly uncertain times, and I know many Londoners are concerned by what’s taking place around the world.
My message to Londoners: this is your home, you are wanted here, and you help to make London what it is - the greatest city in the world.
One of my fav quotes. And totally agree with Paddingtons conclusion here. ❤️
