Inflation is worse than you think.
Governments often use the Consumer Price Index to show inflation's impact on daily expenses. They rarely mention monetary inflation linked to excessive money printing for schemes like Fractional Reserve Banking.
The only solution is #Bitcoin.
Most people do not think in Bitcoin terms. Including Bitcoiners.
When you order a burger from a restaurant, you're not going, "How much BTC am I willing to pay for this?"
Most of you weight the cost of the burger in USD terms, or fiat terms. And that's perfectly ok.
This is the stage we are in. You have a much better understanding of how much the USD is worth today as opposed to BTC.
For example...
The burger costs $15 today. That's the equivalent of 0.00012 BTC, or 12,038 satoshis.
Five years ago was once "today." At that point, a burger costed about $8-10, so a burger has roughly doubled in cost in USD terms. But in BTC terms... that same burger was worth 0.001244 BTC, or 124,400 satoshis.
Which means... a burger has become *10x cheaper* in BTC terms over the last five years.
But this is also important; how did we come up with how much the burger was worth in BTC terms? What dictated that?
It was the USD to BTC exchange rate. Which is fine, that's a tool of the market, but... it's not what it will look like after Bitcoin passes through this stage.
We are in "price discovery" mode, where the world discovers how much a verifiably finite monetary system is worth in terms of a infinite monetary system.
How much would something finite be worth in terms of infinity? In other words... there's an infinite amount of fiat money chasing something verifiably finite. And more prudently, that infinite amount of money is completely incentivized to plug into that finite system - all of it. Infinity is chasing Bitcoin. We're watching that unfold.
The vast majority of the market is still going through the USD to value BTC. It is still going through another currency. This would change when the owner of the burger restaurant puts a BTC price on the menu instead of a USD price, and, in that process, the owner would not use the USD-BTC exchange rate in that calculation, rather, they themselves would deem how much BTC they are asking for from you, the consumer, in order for them to provide you with a burger.
They wouldn't care how much the BTC is worth in USD terms, because why would they? The USD is worthless.
We're watching the market wake up to this truth, gradually, then suddenly.
Tick-tock, next block.
