@GPrime85@catturd2 Trump was a Hollywood creep too. He was friends with P-Diddy and Jeffrey Epstein. He is literally the epitome of what you claim to fight against.
@jmbenson1491@catturd2 Yet, Donald Trump is a Hollywood celebrity who was good friends with Jeffrey Epstein, Michael Jackson, OJ Simpson, and P-Diddy.......
@Zubi_Freeman @CountryFirstRep@JPVA0244 Perhaps due to a combination of his recent interest in Dugin and Illyin, the fact that he knows that Ukraine is likely to join NATO, and also the fact that he knows he is getting older and wants to cement his legacy; I think these all certainly contributed to his decision.
@Zubi_Freeman @CountryFirstRep@JPVA0244 That all being said, Putin has always been a very strategic individual. That is how he has amassed so much power. Though he may have wanted to invade Ukraine, he would have compromised for a subservient Ukraine until very recently....(Pt 5)
@Zubi_Freeman @CountryFirstRep@JPVA0244 The essay you referenced was written by Putin in 2021. Strategically, this was obviously designed as a pretext to an eventual Russian invasion of Ukraine. However, I do think that Putin personally believes in the contents of the essay.... (Pt 4)
@Zubi_Freeman @CountryFirstRep@JPVA0244 Part of that ideology has caused him to resent western civilization (including concepts like free speech, free press, and rule of law) which he believes to be degenerate and antithetical to the "Russian way". These ideas do seem to be fairly new to Putin..... (Pt 3)
@Zubi_Freeman @CountryFirstRep@JPVA0244 But in recent years he seems to have been attracted to the writings of Ivan Ilyin and Aleksandr Dugin, whom he has called his favorite philosophers. His ideas about wanting to unite the Russian ethnicity under one empire seem to have originated from these philosophers... (Pt 2)
@Zubi_Freeman @CountryFirstRep@JPVA0244 You bring up an interesting point. I will say that Putin has become much more radical with his beliefs over time. For example, in the early 2000s he idolized the West and desired for Russia to become part of the EU and NATO.... (Pt 1)
@Zubi_Freeman @N3668751464065@CountryFirstRep@JPVA0244 This comment was widely interpreted to be sarcastic. He referred to Kamala's "infectious laugh". Even the audience of that interview were chuckling when he said that.
@Zubi_Freeman @ScorpioWiliam@CountryFirstRep@JPVA0244 Yeah I agree that this statement was really bad. The Ukrainian leaders were right to be upset with him about that.
@N3668751464065@ScorpioWiliam@RickFry94638491@CountryFirstRep@JPVA0244 Because Trump gave Putin assurances that he would not allow Ukraine to join NATO, which is what Putin wanted. Biden refused to give those same assurances, hence the invasion. I will admit that the sanctions were one of the few examples where Trump actually didnt do Putins bidding
@ScorpioWiliam @Zubi_Freeman @CountryFirstRep@JPVA0244 In the case of Biden, it was his unwillingness to comply with Putin's demands that contributed to Putin's decision to invade Ukraine. So no, Biden is not a pushover. Biden has also continued to support Ukraine while avoiding sending US troops, which is a good strategy.
