@thesquatingdog@FNCreate@HaroldAtEpic Will the FIRST-PERSON category get added back? There seems to be not as much support for first person maps anymore especially since ballistic has been removed
First Time I'm really Frustrated with the direction Ballistic is going:
I see a lot of frustration with the current state of ballistic, and I somewhat share the same sentiment. The main points are current gameplay balancing and matchmaking and communication. This feedback is my personal and feedback I have seen on Community reddits and directly from my own ballistic practice map talking to players.
Gameplay Balancing:
The current direction where the gameplay is going is very unclear and confusing. Right now the gameplay is a weird mix of call of duty and Counter-Strike.
Its feels very unrewarding and unbalanced, especially in higher ranks where players abuse the flaws of the current system. I personally don't mind either direction but it needs to go in one direction. Having a very accurate bullets while moving, while also having a spray pattern and 1-shot kill headshots, feels very wrong. There is way to much movement going on to have the Counter-Strike gunplay but there is odd things that prevent call of duty like shooting ( like not being able to zoom in while jumping).
Also a lot of the gadgets have no counterplay while others get countered very easily. ( Recon detects you, through every wall, smoke or object while the deployable wall is just climbable/ shootable/ reconable... )
Matchmaking:
This is the one that I would personally give the most benefit of the doubt, due to low player numbers. However, this was an issue before, even when it first came out. The lower ranks are unplayable and really unenjoyable. 50% of the games end in a surrender and some players, despite being in mid to high low ranks (Gold..Diamond) Look like they have never touched an Tac FPS in their life or know how to navigate a fps game.
Again I give it the most benefit of the doubt and I assume the team is aware but I had many friends quit in the first couple games because the experience was so horrible.
Communication:
This is probably the biggest issue, all other things aside. The game in the end of the day is a competitive game mode, its not a casual game so people want to know if it is worth investing there time into it. A roadmap or at least updates on the plans with this game mode would be very helpful. There is many people like myself who really enjoyed this gamemode and I personally thing it was the perfect mix between valorant and cs. The change for the gunplay is one of those examples. I personally understand why this was done and I understand trying out stuff in early access but I also no that very little of the current ballistic community asked for this or in the current state likes it. It would be very helpful to know what the plans are moving forward with this.
