At a time when some seek to divide us, gatherings like this remind us that our strength comes from celebrating our shared humanity and treating every person with dignity and respect.
Love is stronger than hate. Unity is stronger than division. We are stronger together.
It was a powerful reminder that when we choose love over hate, respect over division, & understanding over fear, we bring out the very best in one another.
Hundreds of Hoosiers from all walks of life, faiths, and backgrounds came together to celebrate, build connections, and enjoy the rich diversity that makes our communities stronger.
Thank you to the dedicated organizers and volunteers, @CityOfCarmelIn, Carmel Police Department, and Mayor Sue Finkam for helping create such a welcoming and successful event.

What a wonderful celebration of community, friendship, and belonging at the Carmel Eid Festival.

This morning, I had the privilege of serving hungry and vulnerable neighbors at a community food pantry that I have proudly supported for the past 17 years, both before and during my service as a State Senator.
Calling $3.92 a gallon “affordable” misses the reality Hoosier families are living every day.
Across Indiana, more than 35 counties are still above $4. Yes, Indiana’s gas prices may currently rank among the “lowest in the nation,” but that comparison leaves out a major fact:
Today I had the honor of attending the graduation ceremony for the Indiana School for the Blind & Visually Impaired and Indiana Blind Children's Foundation, a remarkable institution that has served Hoosiers for 179 years and celebrated its 172nd graduating class today.
I had the immense honor of speaking with Hoosiers living with ALS, their families, caregivers, and advocates during ALS Awareness Month @alsassociation about the real impact this disease has on people’s lives and why public policy matters so deeply in that fight.
Today I had the opportunity to spend time with the hardworking men and women of Ironworkers Local 22 at Clash in the Crossroads, and I left even more inspired by the skill, discipline and pride that union workers bring to Indiana every single day.
Today, I welcomed 4th graders from New Augusta South in Pike Township to the Statehouse, and moments like this are a reminder of why this work matters.
📍 Gas in my district today: $4.99.
Remember when $3 gas was a crisis?
The supermajority does. They just don’t seem interested in talking about it anymore.
Let’s be clear about priorities.
I stand with @UFCW700 and @UFCW as REI workers speak up for fair pay, safe conditions and respect on the job.
Hoosiers deserve workplaces that value people, not just profits. Proud to stand with these workers as they push for a fair contract. ✊#INForAll

I am still calling for a continued investigation into the IEDC and the $180 million funneled by its former leadership to companies they created and personally benefited from. If the IEDC cannot put Hoosiers first, then shut it down!
Fix Indiana. Invest in Hoosiers First.
At the Budget Committee meeting, I made my priorities very clear: fix Indiana and invest in Hoosiers first.
Indiana is sitting on almost $5 billion in reserves. But too many Hoosier families still cannot access the basics.
