@KobeissiLetter China stopped importing oil and a lot moved to pipelines. Expected now 5-10M barrels that better than the 20M lapsing from the beginning of the war.
π Why is there a European city in Africa? The history of Ceuta, explained.
The Portuguese took Ceuta from the Marinid Sultanate in 1415. The Marinids were a powerful Berber Muslim empire that controlled much of present-day Morocco.
Portugal launched a surprise attack to seize control of Ceuta because it was a massively wealthy hub for the trans-Saharan gold trade and a strategic fortress guarding the Strait of Gibraltar.
How Ceuta Became Spanish?
1415: Portugal captures the city from the Marinid Sultanate.
1580: Spain and Portugal unite under a single king, mixing their empires for 60 years.
1640: Portugal fights for independence to split from Spain. However, Ceuta's leadership chooses to remain loyal to the Spanish Crown.
1668: Portugal officially signs Ceuta over to Spain in a peace treaty.
1995: Spain grants Ceuta the status of an autonomous city. Today, its residents are full citizens of both Spain and the European Union.
Moroccan Claims
in 1956 Morocco gains independence from France and Spain, but Spain retains Ceuta (and Melilla), citing its continuous sovereignty since the 17th century. In 1995, Spain grants Ceuta the status of an autonomous city.
Some investors don't want Elon as CEO and the face of the companyβmaybe board member or something else. The belief is that Elon, by adopting a political side and going very public about it, made the other side (including buyers of the brand) feel awkward, to say the least, about buying Tesla products. So it sounds more comfortable if Elon steps off the stage but still keeps a leading role without being the face of the company. A board member with share weight may be a middle solution.
I agree on the 2030 thing.. kind of ridiculous. He should know better about the law of Accelerated returns. Unfortunately social media made people just hungry for catchy headlines. In a year or two he will be like it is time to buy as the market already priced in blah blah blah lol
@Tesla@Elon High-tech requires real effort. I'm frustrated with my $140k Tesla Model X service. Alignment wasnβt fixed and had to send it back, waited hours despite "ready" status. Tires took 7 days, paint job 3 weeks, rim fix 1 weekβ6 weeks total. Understaffed team, one charger for 180 cars, rookie tech on my car. Paid $65/day for a rental after a hit-and-run. My 4th Tesla, but disappointed and need better service. #TeslaService Still stuck at the service center.
It is usually a very smooth process. Except usually there is a quality issue that requires to come back later. Very smooth still but I had to go with my friends to check on fit & finish and sometimes paint scratches. One time steering wheel needed replacement. Hopefully this is ironed out and passed QA before it reaches customers by now.
@niccruzpatane@grok looking at the rate GM is selling producing cars compared to Tesla. Do you think there is a chance GM will catch Tesla and if so by when?
