Let me point this out,,

There is NOTHING WRONG with owning other colored characters that aren't of your race.

But in this case vtuber models are still supposed to represent you.

It still is you, your voice. Your personality.

So at least be respectful about it with skin tone. I'm not saying you cant be green , pink , purple. This is about RACE RELATED skin tones not fantasy.

And for vtubers bashing black vtubers for having white models ,, thats a different story.

You have NO IDEA how much racism black people have went through their entire life. I firmly believe POC vtubers can use white skin tones if they wish, Twitter is a highly racist community and I would want to project myself from negativity too.

Tldr, the sheep or lamb whatever vtuber shouldn't be using a black vtuber model while being white using the excuse that it's 'based off a sheep Pokémon' there is zero resemblance, the sheep looks purple, not black. Meaning it was intentional and they know what they where doing.

Its blackface. It's wrong. And black vtubers have every right to be upset about it.

I’m not going to explain:

• Why many Black creators may choose lighter skinned models, and the cultural and industry reasons behind that.
• The history and harm of blackface.
• That Black people come in every shade imaginable, from very light to very dark.

All I’m going to say is this: I will never support a white creator using a model that is clearly designed to represent a Black person. Whether the intent was malicious or not doesn’t change the impact.

It’s 2026. We have access to the internet, history, and countless conversations from Black voices explaining why this is hurtful. At some point, choosing not to learn becomes a choice in itself.

You don’t have to agree with me, but you do have to respect that this is a boundary I won’t compromise on.
