أصيب أحد الإخوة في الأنفاق أثناء الحفر والترميم، فذهبت لأطمئن عليه في وقت متأخر من الليل، فزرته وواسيته، ثم وأنا عائد في ممر النفق إلى العقدة القتالية رأيتُ أحد قيادات المجاهدين يصلي في ممر النفق قيام الليل، فصليت معه، فكان يقرأ الفاتحة بصوت خاشع ثم تلا بعض آيات القرآن، ثم دعا وأنا أؤمن على دعائه، وهذا الرجل من أكثر الرجال صرامة وحزماً، لكن مقام التهجد مقام تذلل وخضوع بين يدي الله، فسمعته يدعو وحفظت دعاءه، قال: يا ربِّ من أجل الأحجار والأطيار والأشجار، يا رب من أجل الحفاظ والقُرَّاء والعلماء، يا ربَّ من أجل المحاريب والمآذن والمساجد، يا رب من لهذه الترسانة إلا أنت يا رب لا تخيب رجاءنا، يا رب أمرتنا بالإعداد فأعددنا، وأمرتنا بالثبات فثبتنا، يا رب سدد رمينا واحفظ من تبقى من رجالنا يا رب حملتني كثيراً فخفف عني، لا تكاد تغيب هذه الكلمات عن بالي والله!!.

أصحاب التهجد والانكسار بين يدي الله هم الذين يفتح الله عليهم، وهم أهل المقامات العالية المحمودة، وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَتَهَجَّدْ بِهِ نَافِلَةً لَّكَ عَسَىٰ أَن يَبْعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامًا مَّحْمُودًا [الإسراء: 79].

This is one of the most heartbreaking scenes.

These hostages were returned not with names, but as numbers.
In bags.
With visible signs of torture.
Blindfolded.
Handcuffed.
Some were even hanged.

And yet, no journalists are reporting live to their channels on these hostages.
No one follows their funerals.
No interviews with their parents, children, uncles, aunts, neighbors, or friends.
