@TronStylias Tron - got it. Sunday is your main day. I can structure a workflow that fits that schedule and scales when you add more days. I'll DM you my workflow and rates now. Check requests.
@imsimplistic Hey Simplistic!
I've got experience editing for a channel already, know the workflow, pacing, and retention game.
Quick question: what's the second channel niche? Gaming? Commentary? Clips? I'll DM a tailored breakdown. Check requests.
If not a fit, ignore it.!
@flumsy_poopsie Hey Bunny! Love your comic character designs.
I'm Faide (YouTube editor).
Quick question: looking for promos, long-form, or something else for Flumsy Universe?
I'll DM a tailored breakdown. Check requests in a few, if not a fit, ignore it, no hard feelings
Faceless documentary breakdown.
My workflow: Sound design → Pacing → Motion Graphics. Locks in retention before I touch a transition.
I turn scripts (AI or human) into cinematic narratives that hold AVD.
Run a channel that lives on watch time? Let's talk.
@iamveektoria_ This is the right instinct. Understanding the algorithm matters, but pacing and retention in the actual edit is what keeps the algorithm favoring you after the first click. Both have to work together.
@thesekinah Be careful with this setup — 'teach me free for a % of future earnings' rarely gets honored once the channel actually starts making money. Worth paying something upfront instead, even small, so there's real accountability on both sides.
@Automationblupr Facts. The tools handle generation now, the differentiator has shifted to who can actually cut a compelling video from that raw footage. AI gives everyone the same ingredients, editing is still the skill gap.
@lateef_rab18648 Niche matters, but the edit is what turns 'demand exists' into actual watch time. Plenty of people pick the right niche and still lose viewers in the first 30 seconds because the pacing's off.
@10cty Depends entirely on what's actually delivered. Real 1:1 time, your own footage reviewed, direct access to ask questions = worth it. A recorded course dressed up as 'mentorship' = not. Ask what's included before judging the price.
@jaycopypro@FeyiLux Both, if you can sustain it. Shorts build discovery, longform builds watch hours and revenue. Just don't let shorts eat the time you need for a well-paced longform edi, that's where retention actually lives.
@Ytautomation6 Build a library that pays you for years' is the real takeaway here. That only works if each video is actually built to retain, a library of videos nobody finishes doesn't compound the same way.
